Transforming Access to Higher Education

Puente Project builds pathways to college and leadership through academics, counseling, and community mentorship and professional development.

Talent Is Everywhere.
Opportunity Is Not.

Across the country, talented students face systemic barriers to college access, persistence, and completion—especially first-generation students and those from historically underrepresented communities. Without coordinated academic, counseling, and mentoring support, too many students are left navigating higher education alone.

Puente exists to change that reality—at scale, and for the long term.

Puente’s interdisciplinary model integrates writing-intensive instruction, culturally responsive counseling, and community-based mentoring into a single, cohesive program.  Pilot programs are in motion for math, science, and dual-enrollment.
