Steve Gonzales

1987-1989: Teacher, Los Angeles Unified School District, Gompers Middle School. Instructed 6-8th grade ELD and mainstream students in various subjects: mathematics, science, health, and HS History. 1990-1992: Counselor AUHSD, Ball Junior High School. 1993-94: Counselor, AUHSD, Dale Junior High School. 1994-2019: College and Puente Counselor, AUHSD at Magnolia and Savanna High Schools. Implemented counseling component of the University of California program targeted towards underrepresented students. 2019-2020: Puente Co-Trainer focused on supporting Puente counselors throughout the state. 2020-2022: Western High School sophomore counselor. 2021-present: Puente Statewide Secondary Counselor Coordinator.
